Chingay Parade of Dreams 2009,妆艺大游行——奇思梦想 2009 Why shouldn't miss Chingay 2009 : 13 Floats with 4000 performers from 40 local organisations, 4 local international communities and cultural groups from 8 countries. Wonderland" is the first time an overarching artistic theme will guide the creation of floats and presentation contingents, retaining a strong Singapore flavour; Many renowned, professional and "folk" personalities coming forward to make Chingay Parade Singapore 2009 a major difference! Together with all participating organisations and performing groups, the People's Association aims will offer audiences the best floats and the most colourful and visually impactful contingents in Chingay history - We are working towards the best Chingay Parade yet! GRANDEST AND BIGGEST OPENING The Trio of Dragon Float", one of the tallest and most automated floats blending art and science; a challenging engineering and mechanical wonder created by the NTU Chingay Team comprising Professors and Assoc Professors from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace, School of Computer Engineering and School of Art, Design and Media of the NTU. The entire Chingay Opening will be presented by 750 performers from eight organisations who will contribute exciting components: o STB: Uniquely Singapore Float; o Tong Liang Fire Dragon Troupe from China; o Mun San Fook Tuck Chee : The Straw Fire Dragon o Teng Wei Athletic Sports Association : 30 phoenixes o Loyang Tua Pei Kong: Big puppets (Devil Bull King), Taiwan o Jalan Besar CC Dragon and Lion Dance Troupe : Giant Flags Display o Singapore Dragon and Lion Athletic Association : local dragons o NTU: The Trio of Dragon Float this unforgettable and unrivalled performance at the City Hall on Jan 30th & 31st, 2009! AFTER-PARADE PARTIES This includes "City Jam" by the PA Youth Movement in front of the City Hall and the PA National Line Dance and Folk Dance Night along Connuaght Drive. 妆艺大游行——奇思梦想 2009 , Chingay Parade of Dreams 2009 2009新春妆艺大游行将让您沉浸在新加坡最大规模的街头表演和花车游行的热闹氛围中。这项年度活动绝对是一场结合炫目耀眼的彩灯、服装、巨型花车和特色表演，展现新加坡独有文化特色的文娱杂烩。公众和旅客可以在1月31日晚上在政府大厦前的草场参与夜间派对，在星空下舞至天明！一年一度的妆艺游行今年迈入第37个年头，两晚共吸引了大约15万名公众到场观赏。表演者人数则达4300人，规模比往年盛大。
